Have you ever felt in contravention to your inner-self? For the sake of resolving a conflict which you felt should have happened the way your conscious thought of rather than the way your mind wanted?
Life is not always black and white, there are many shades of gray in between. Some we see, some others we do not know they exist, let alone not being able to see!
Contradictions exist in every stage of life! They are a natural occurrence! It is important to recognize them rather than fight out their existence!
All roads lead forward, but our actions often do not! The result is a great deal of sorrow, disappointment, regret and pain, and a mix of all of them as if each of them were not potent enough already! Why? Isn't it only one life here?
Gaining terra firma is an art, aided with astute judgment, wisdom and patience! Who's gonna come around, when you break?
What is apparent is not usually recognized! The truth is out there, waiting to be known, felt and experienced, but the truth is a dangerous thing, for it is bitter, painful and strange! You just can't go on....but you have to!
If I fall along the way, pick me up and dust me off, and if I get too tired to make it, be my breath so I can walk
- Bent, Matchbox 20, April 18, 2000
I'm scared of loss! I'm anxious of the future! I'm worried of time slipping by! I'll be pained to envision the bygones! Will I be broken again? Will this end? I don't want it to! Is this Being Me? Can I get put back together? But I started out clean! And, what is that the English say about the end? A good beginning makes a good ending?
Footnotes:
These pictures were taken, using a mobile phone camera, during my trip to the Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand during the winter of 2005! An account of this memorable trip is here!
Very well put up your thoughts rakesh… along with the pictures to portrait. There is a end to begin another round.
ReplyDeleteLife is too complex if you think too much,
ReplyDeleteJust leave everything aside, and live the way you feel...but not intervening with others'

Life is too complex, even if you don't think too much! Your insights are true reflections. I appreciate your frankness. But the burdening thought is even these insights may not matter in the end. That is one burden I have not been able to let off my shoulders!
ReplyDeleteDestination Infinity
I forgot to say the most important aspect of it, Rak
ReplyDeleteWe might think that we are solely behind our actions and our actions will bring in what we desire or think about while initiating a move...
But then its all predestined and so are consequences...so, if things are not in our hands why worry about it...
Yet, there are hints to take and to move on..and while moving on, lets not regret --
well thats the way, i deal with it! :)
devika

ReplyDeleteThe beauty of life it its unpredictable nature and the immense intrest it causes is due to the this same fact. To make decisions in such a complex scenario is truely an art. Very few achieve such a state...

ReplyDeleteCorrect, when you say that when one thinks too much, life appears more complicated!
Unfortunately, I am one of those who thinks way too much!
And yes, everyday in life is a battle! Perhaps thats the purpose!
I'd like to think that everything is predestined and that helps me relieve many burdens while believing that there are many things in life that I have no control on!
I'm thankful to destiny!

Life is not always black and white, there are many shades of gray in between. Some we see, some others we do not know they exist: when u say this i feel people see the gray but sometimes they just to ignore that..
ReplyDeleteAnd fighting contradiction is natural its the way we human being behave.
I really could identify the OB part of this post
Rakesh
ReplyDeleteYes, life isn't always black and white....there are very many shades of gray intertwined in between! Quite sadly though! Its a choice that we either recognize it else live in ignorance!
