Are we really alone?

Neither its origins, nor its future are known! It is 13.73 billion years old and its observable confines are estimated to be at least 93 billion light years in diameter! The universe is a very large place and is constantly undergoing change.

I have not once believed that, in such a vastly unimaginable expanse, us earthlings could be alone, let alone assume superiority and importance by a mere belief that we are the only life forms existing!

  2. To your question..."are we really alone"

    Its all in our mind...no??
we are human beings supposed to have developed through community building...

and then the universe offers limitless companions, if one looks around..

  9. nice pic..
but I think we all are actually alone and we should learn to live that way.. we are born alone and we would die alone..
    Now don't think that I a am loner ;-)
I am not I have got the best of friends ( touch wood) to whom I speak for hours..
but ofcourse it depends on the defiantion of the word - alone
What I am trying to say is we need to learn to live our life alone . we need to identify what keeps us happy and try to get closer to that; we need to understand what makes us sad and move away from it..
We always will have friends and family but strangely at one point of time, we need to make a choice of happiness or "someone" ..
My close friends would soon be going out to the states, I wander to whom would I talk then, to whom would I share my day with and then I realize it shall always be the case , after all all of us have our own independent lifves right?
Coming to Love , off late sadly I am only being a witness to people who had a love marraige and now are terrible about it, one of them going 4r a divorce and the other is married for like 20 years and is still being "tortured" not only by inlaws but also by her "own" childern.. and I realize no relation comes with a gurantee..
All relation are vulnerable , and hence we need to learn to live alone , not sadly not by getting depressed but by finding out small things that makes us smile..

  10. to think that there are other forms of life in the universe keeps the excitement going.... would be so boring otherwise :)

  11. They say we ourselves become aliens to the living when we die, don't we? Wot with - cant see, cant talk yet feel them around. Brrr..

That's proof enuff. Aliens exist. No?

  12. I am taking the word 'alone' in the sense 'the lone civilization'. It is very probable that some other kind of intelligence exists (But I don't mean supernatural in any way). But going by the diversity of life here on Earth, it seems pretty improbable to me that we can speculate about what form they'd have.
[And yes, the pic is nice :)]

  13. Are there questions which will always surpass human intelligence and possibility to understand? What's behind the "end", what was before the "start", what will be after the "end"...? That other life forms will be discovered is much more possible and imaginable.

  14. You simply put it wonderful rakesh! I dream of universe which left me only in chaos.

  15. Rak, a message to Jeevan

dear Jeevan we all are there in chaos at some point of other for one or other reason...its for us to find our inner peace...and there a belief in God or spirituality can bring relief my dear....life has to go on until death whether one is alone or not..in chaos or in peace...its an absolute choice left to us where to be! :)

anyway, hope you, with your positive spirit does not let chaos take over you....or write to us friends when you find yourself in chaos..perhaps a sharing would help! :)

  16. Rakesh,
    Thanks for sharing the pic.
Maybe there are other living forms. Or maybe not. We will know in years to come.
    Till then, keep blogging :-)

  18. very interesting...

have read Dan Brown's 'Deception Point'? there's a theory mentioned that which states that life began on the earth because a meteorite which carried live organisms crashed onto the earth eons back. which means we're all aliens in one sense. and that the universe has to have other life-forms SOMEWHERE. food for thought, eh?

the universe is so huge that the finite human mind cannot comprehend something so infinite. and to think earth is the only planet that contains life in all of it? no way!

Its difficult to believe that in such a vast space, we are the only living beings!
Right you are when you say that the universe offers limitless companions!

And then again, every sphere is a universe in itself!

Despite whether civilizations exist out of Earth or not, each of us is a lone entity destined to be by oneself!

Irrespective of any relationship that one has, the only solid relationship is the one with oneself, one's folks and one's creator!

I agree to what you say......but then, there are a lot of things that come into place beyond us and our planet!

Yes, the probability of a civilization out of Earth is very high considering the vastness of the Universe and considering that we might not be the only living beings!

That life could be more intelligent than us....... perhaps! It is a matter of speculation.....interesting one at that!
